FRANZ CELLS

PermeGear’s vertical glass Franz Cells are the original design for studying permeation and transport. These cells are available with standard orifice diameters ranging from 5mm to 25mm, with custom diameters upon request. The orifice refers to the area at the top of the receptor chamber where the membrane or device is placed for study. Standard volumes range from 5ml to 20ml, making these cells suitable for a wide variety of permeation studies.

SIDE-BI-SIDE CELLS

The Side-Bi-Side Cells from PermeGear are similar in design to the Franz Cells but allow for side-by-side comparison of different membranes or devices. Standard orifice diameters (5mm to 25mm) and custom sizes are available, offering versatility for various types of diffusion research. These cells are widely used in studies involving transdermal drug delivery and other membrane-related applications.

IN-LINE CELLS

PermeGear’s In-Line Cells are a flow-type variation of the Franz Cell, offering a small receptor volume for quick and efficient analysis. These cells place the membrane of interest in a horizontal plane and feature donor chambers open to the air, although occluded donor chambers are also available for more controlled conditions. Ideal for continuous diffusion testing, these cells provide a streamlined and compact option for research.
