Automated Diffusion Cell System
PermeGear’s Automated Diffusion Cell Systems offer a versatile and efficient solution for analyzing flux over time. Incorporating In-Line Cells, a peristaltic pump, fraction collector, and heater/circulator, this system ensures precise control over the diffusion process. Ideal for various applications, the system allows for the collection of receptor fluid at user-defined intervals, making it perfect for studying drug release, permeation, and other flux-related analyses.
Using the continuous flow principle, the system employs a multi-channel peristaltic pump to deliver receptor solution from a reservoir to the In-Line Cells. These cells are heated to 32ºC by the integrated heater/circulator, ensuring consistent temperature control during the experiment. The subject compound is then placed in the donor chambers, with receptor fluid collected in vials at preset intervals for further analysis.
The system accommodates various vial sizes, with racks provided for 20ml 28mm diameter scintillation vials. Vials are not supplied by PermeGear, so users should specify the vial size when ordering. This customization ensures compatibility with your lab’s preferred collection containers, streamlining the analysis process.
