Procurement Support

Procurement Support for FPSO topside modules

Procurement support is an essential component of the Detailed Engineering phase for FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) topside modules. It involves the identification, specification, sourcing, and acquisition of materials and equipment required for construction and integration. Effective procurement ensures that the project stays on schedule, within budget, and meets technical and regulatory requirements.

The OFS India’s involvement in the Procurement Support will typically address the following:

Documentation Preparation

Comprehensive procurement documentation including MRs, specifications, and BOMs.

Technical Evaluation

Thorough assessment of vendor proposals and compliance verification.

Vendor Management

Review and approval of vendor submissions and technical documentation.

Preparation of Procurement Documentation

  • Material Requisitions (MRs): Detailed requests for the procurement of equipment and materials based on engineering deliverables.
  • Technical Specifications: Comprehensive documents defining technical, functional, and performance requirements.
  • Bill of Materials (BOM)/Material Take-Offs (MTOs): Accurate lists of materials derived from P&IDs, isometrics, and structural drawings.

Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE)

  • Reviewing and comparing vendor proposals against technical specifications.
  • Ensuring compliance with design codes, standards, and project requirements.
  • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams (process, structural, mechanical, electrical) to address deviations or clarifications.

Vendor Data Review and Approval

  • Reviewing vendor drawings, calculations, and documents for compliance with project requirements.
  • Approving technical submittals, including General Arrangement (GA) drawings, foundation details, and interface information.
